SHIFTER is an experimental search tool offering users an unconventional and experimental approach on creative thinking via generating (almost) unpredictable visual results. The platform encourages users to extend their inspiration horizon by using research patterns that are different from the conventional ones. In the context of the debate around computational design and design automation, it should also encourage a critical reflection upon the machine and the web as a tool.
