The Department kkp shows the artistic transcultural and multifaceted “Octopus Programme”: The exhibition is complemented by screenings, a publication, artist talks and visual statements. The programme fosters artistic research and production based collaborations between universities, art institutions, students, artists and experts. It furthers furthers the exchange of modes of presentation, research and documentation from different geographical areas – Europe, the Mediterranean and Africa. It was initiated in 2019 by the Angewandte and the Kamel Lazaar Foundation Tunis under the direction of Visiting Professor Basak Senova (Department of kkp).

Current partners are: Konstfack Stockholm; Index – The Swedish Contemporary Art Foundation.; University of Pretoria; Centre for The Less Good Idea, Johannesburg; Birzeit University; Palestinian Museum, Birzeit; Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center, Ramallah; SAHA Association, Istanbul; Publics and Saastamoinen Foundation, Helsinki.

With artistic works by Sophia Bellouhassi (DE/AT), Férielle Doulain-Zouari (FR/TN), Julia Stern (AT), Marwa Manai (TN), Bochra Taboubi (TN), Younes Ben Slimane (TN), Alina Rentsch (DE/SE), Bengü Karaduman (TR), Jannis Neumann (DE/AT), Maarit Mustonen (FI), Nondumiso Lwazi Msimanga (ZA), Noor Abed (PS), Sofia Priftis (SE), Els van Houtert (The Netherlands/Austria) and Kim M. Reynolds (USA/South Africa). Guests: Anna Sanglhuber, David Heinzl, Helene Eisl, Nargol Gharahshir, Pascale Ballieul (kkp department).
